Zelenskyy Applauds Poland's Defense Partnership
“Andrzej has stood with Ukraine since the first days of the war – always side by side, a reliable ally and a true friend,” Zelenskyy emphasized in a formal message, highlighting the strong relationship between the neighboring states.
As reported by news outlets, the two heads of state addressed matters concerning regional stability, joint actions within the NATO framework, and forthcoming decisions at the EU level.
Zelenskyy noted that both governments are collaborating to carry out significant military accords and voiced optimism that concrete progress would become apparent within the next half-year.
“I thank Andrzej personally and the people of Poland for their support, for the substantial defense assistance, and for the joint decisions made in the name of our freedom and yours,” the Ukrainian leader added.
According to a news agency, President Duda, who is constitutionally barred from seeking a third term, will hand over the presidency to Karol Nawrocki on August 6, following Nawrocki’s recent victory in the Polish national election.
